The Desert

The emptiness of the desert makes it possible to learn the almost impossible: the joyful acceptance of our uselessness.

Oh, how I have missed you!

This reminds me of the verse in the Bible, where it mentions that the clouds are like dust beneath God’s feet.
So I think, my goodness, that would make us dust mites!
& yet, He made us, loves us, & became one of us…
which, pardon me, is a most comforting thought - that our God who can do anything on a grand scale, holds us so near & dear.

*rolls eyes* If we’re so useless..imagine how many converts there would be if all the “useless” folks just accepted their uselessness and left God to handle it! Creator gifted humanity with arms, legs and a brain. Obviously we’re not useless. There’s more to life than sitting around waiting for the next command to drop from Heaven. You’re alive…so live.
Tell me, what benefit is there in constantly berating oneself about how miserable they are? How can a dust mite possibly offend the vacuum cleaner? That’s like me saying, “That ant offends me!”

My point was, although we may be as small as an ant, our Lord loves us…
which isn’t exactly how we regard the ant at all.

On the contrary…I love the ants. (:
