A new blog concept…
Showering this morning, I came up with an exciting new concept for the weblog.
You know how everyone wants to be liked? Well, I want people to like me, but sometimes I say or write things that people don’t like. So I thought, what if I had MPD - Multiple Personality Disorder - I could write anything (well my multiples could anyway) and people would still like me! Abbey-Roads2 would become a group blog, placing me in another category for the Blog Awards next year.
With the different personalities on board, I would sure give Mitchell’s blog, “Our Word” and Brian and his cronies at “Christus Vincit” a run for their money.
So! I’ve decided to move forward with this new format!
Introducing my Personalities…(I hardly know them myself!)
Greg - The former male model turned actor. He had a dramatic conversion experience many years ago but is still obsessed with fashion, movies and pop-culture - he’s the epitome of metro-sexual. He pretends to not recognize Terry when he sees him, and ignores him unless he wants something. Greg actually makes fun of Terry, insisting he is starting to look like Tom Smykowski (pictured above) from “Office Space”. If Greg were a woman he would be referred to as a bitch - who cares - he is anyway.
.
Marcelino - The devout little boy living amidst the temptations of the world, neglected and abused, yet finding solace in devotion and prayer - and sitcoms.
.
.
Ginger - She’s kind of a slut.
.
.
.
.
Boyd - He likes Ginger - but he’s pretty much asexual - I think he is afraid of women on some level. (Although Ginger told Greg that Boyd thinks sex is dirty. Boyd had been abused when he was little. Also, Boyd told me that he thinks Ginger is really Greg dressed up - I hate it when they fight!)
.
Fr. Auguste Marie - A very wise monk, prayerful and learned. He has a past however, which makes him a great spiritual director for the rest. He is very compassionate and patient with sinners and nut-jobs.
.
Sylvester - He’s kind of ghetto, but doesn’t like rap very much, although he remains very much stuck in the disco era…and he didn’t quit the bar scene until the mid ’90’s after the ”Spice Girls” hit the scene. He’s a has been - like Greg - in fact they are friends.
.
.
Angelica - She’s this sweet, innocent little lamb. Although, she’s catatonic. We don’t know what happened to her. She just seems to observe the rest, and appears to be praying all the time.
.
Lenny - He says he is named for Lenin - yet he struggles to be devoutly Catholic. He is the darkest personality of all. He tends to be somewhat anti-clerical, a huge critic of consumerism, anti-authority, anti-social, among other things. He’s come a long way however. For instance, he once was pro-choice, but later changed his mind and is strongly pro- life. He was a victim of 1960’s revolutionary thought - it’s hard for some people to get over that.
.
Teddy - He is the most fun one of all, he loves younger people, and is never ever serious, unless he’s talking about spiritual things. He likes to hang out with the 20-somethings and always wants to go to a Rave. Teddy is about 22 years old himself. He’s affectionate and loves to get hugs - kind of like a Teddy Bear - hence his name. He loves kitties and loves to play frisbee in the park with puppies and dogs. He also loves to take naps. (Teddy has arrested development - but he is not retarded.)
Well folks - that is it. I’m not aware of any other personalities at this time, I hope you like the ones you met here. It doesn’t matter if you do, just as long as you like me.
Update - all the multiples wanted me to post their pictures!

Terry,
You’re goint to have to work hard to catch up. We’re not only looking at recruiting additional contributors, we’re also all multiple personalities over here.
Where does this blog escalation stop? Bigger and more contributors, blog defense systems, even a blog doomsday machine. Is there no end to the horror?…

Oh, no. They sound like some of my relatives, except my relatives are not so devout. What a coincidence. Scary.

You just KNOW I’m going to be the one to say this: You forgot to mention the fashion sense, or lack therof, of your altars. Who likes K-Mart clothes, Versace, Marc Jacobs, who sews their own, who shops at the Free Store etc.
LOL!

Cathy…honey,
They are all faashionistas except for Sylvester - he has no taste - way too flashy.
Even Marcellino wears Ralph Lauren for boys - and sometimes Gap Kids.
Fr. Auguste marie wouldn’t be caught dead in anything but a wool Carthusian habit.
