Ray-Ray is at a local store tomorrow…

Raymond Arroyo will be at a St. Paul religious goods store Saturday afternoon, arriving from the airport around 2:30PM - he’ll be whisked in and out, so get there early to meet him. It is an impromptu special event for the Store arranged by a friend of the Company. There should be a good crowd. It’s an opportunity to meet the man Mother Angelica let into her life and permitted to give an account of her life in religion, as well as document her fidelity to the extraordinary vocation God gave her.
Mr. Arroyo is an impressive fellow. He will be there to meet anyone who wants to talk from approximately 2:30 to 4:00 PM.
(Do not ask him to do Mother Angelica impressions or even mention Pee Wee Herman.)

You do realize, I presume, that everyone who reads that will wonder what on earth PeeWee Herman has to do with it, causing an increase in the likelyhood that someone will ask. It’s like telling someone to not, under any circumstances think of a pink elephant.

When I first saw the pic come up (I didn’t look like at the title), I immediately thought you were going to try to pass yourself off as Raymond Aroyo this time.

Jeffrey and NAB - Both of your comments just cracked me up!

No, I knew exactly what PeeWee had to do with Raymond, and laughed. I think of PeeWee and Raymond as the good and bad angels on one’s shoulders, whispering into one’s ears.

Terry -
Are you going?

You should - after all, this is America…

“You talkin’ to me? You talkin’ to me? Then who the hell else are you talkin’ to? You talkin’ to me? Well I’m the only one here.”
It’s ten to two and I have to decide whether St Blogs Parish loyalty is more important than the opportunity to meet Raymond A. and whether it might interfere with the possibility of me going to a movie two days in a row for the first time in 35 or 40 years.
(Last night at the Lagoon for “Into Great Silence” - more later on that on Stella - and a German movie - The Lives of Others - about East German Stasi spies doing what I did for the U.S. Army back in the 60s).

Rhaps, No.

Sorry, Terry…
I’m going to purchase my copy elsewhere.
