A ‘new’ feast day for me…

Thanks to Don Marco, I found out today is the feast of San Terenzio, martyr. The name Terence means ’soft and tender’ - as regards disposition - but obviously St. Terence was strong and valiant, a Roman soldier who died for the faith. Nice to know. (I too have a warriors heart!)
“St. Terence (250AD) with Africanus, Pompeius, and companions, a group of fifty martyrs who were cruelly martyred during the persecutions of Emperor Trajanus Decius. According to tradition, they were forced into a pit filled with serpents and stinging reptiles; those who survived this ordeal were beheaded.” - Catholic Online
I kind of feel as if I’ve just emerged from a pit filled with venomous serpents and stinging reptiles.
San Terenzio, pray for us!

I’m still in the pit.
