Chastity

Posted by Terry Nelson on Apr 24th, 2007

Don Marco has a wonderful post on the subject of chastity.

It doesn’t really matter what one’s state in life is, married, single, religious; nor what one’s “orientation” - each of us ought to practice chastity according to our state in life, no matter what the “world, the flesh and the devil” says.

“The chaste person becomes an instrument of peace at home, in the Church, and in society. The unchaste person sows trouble wherever he goes.”  - Vultus Christi

That’s what I keep saying, too, Terry. I’ve attracted a pretty vocal liberal Catholic to my blog for saying so, too. I see he hasn’t found his way over here yet, though. He wouldn’t like the concept of this post at all. I LOVE it!!

    Amen to that!

We must pray for those who have yet to learn that chaste living is something to be prized…all too often the prize is seen to be achieving sexual gratification at ‘whatever cost’ either to one’s self or anyone else.
