Ignore everything I’ve written on adoration!

This is a gem!

Jeron Smith has an excellent quote from St.Francis De Sales:

“I’m reminded of a quote by St. Francis de Sales: ‘When you come before the Lord, talk to Him if you can; if you can’t, just stay there, let yourself be seen, and don’t try too hard to do anything else!’”

What other advice do we need?

(I have to stop doing such long posts!)

I love St. Francis DeSales, just common sense sanctity. Sometimes we just end up thinking too much.

I agree with St Francis de Sales (and your comment on the desirability of short posts).

Ken - you are correct sir!

Ray - I think adoro and Athanasius and I are the longest post in the blog world.

I end up doing it for several reason:
    1) I want to make sure that I don’t think I’m and authority and I’m only writing from experience.
    2) I want to cover my bases and avoid offending people or getting their ire up - sometimes.

I guess that’s about it - but Mr. man, sometimes you got real long posts too. ;)

    Whaddya think of that Cathy?

  4. Ray from MN Says:

Yeah, but my long posts are generally somebody else’s thoughts and my one paragraph of brilliant and incisive commentary, totally destroying their argument.
