Our Lady of Ransom

Otherwise known as Our Lady of Mercy, her feast day is September 24. I believe the history of devotion to Our Lady under this title has great significance for our times and the current Islamic threat to Western civilization.

Talk about love for your fellow man: to give yourself as a ransom to Islamists in order that they let your brother/sister in Christ go free?! I wonder if the Mercedarians will be needed in the coming years again.
