Just another reminder - there is no other part to the secret.

We’ve been told.

Cardinal Bertone has once again come out and declared that the Third Secret of Fatima has been revealed in it’s entirety.  He also said this:

“Cardinal Bertone noted that sometimes there is a notable “spreading of supposedly supernatural messages,” often with apocalyptic undertones.

“We need to avoid the danger of a ‘Church of apparitions,’ distrustful of the Church’s hierarchy,” he said. - Zenit

There are a few other factions in the Church who spread distrust of the Church’s hierarchy; some are bloggers, some are trads, some are dissenters.  I guess we have to be careful.

Works for me.

Fr. Corapi has preached on this, saying that while we shouldn’t patently believe in private revelations across the board, neither should we be dismissive. They *can* happen. However, public revelation has been given to us in its fullness: in Jesus the Christ. And He’s all we *need* to know.

Works for me, too, Terry. I find some private revelations inspiring but one cannot build one’s faith on them, or be disobedient because of them.

I am not disputing the truth of that statement but be careful not to completely trust Zenit. It is another Legionary of Christ/Regnum Christi apostolate. The consequence of that is the good, true and beautiful will always be at the service of subtly building their kingdom and not vice versa. Their #1 goal is to use these “truths” to lead orthodox Catholics to see them as THE authority. Once they do this they can gradually become the gatekeeper between the soul and the Church(God)by influencing the way you perceive the truth according to their agenda. You will not get all of the truth; only what fits into their agenda and that agenda is definitely under scrutiny for good reason at this time.

Part of LC(Legionaries of Christ) formation is in the art of persuasive speaking. LCs use it not only in homiletics but in recruiting(through apostolates like ZENIT), fundraising, “formation”, etc. The basic goal of the LC is to get others to conform their wills to that of the Legion. Thus three easy steps:
    1. Identify your audience
    2. Find out what they want
    3. Show them that they can obtain what they want if they do what the LC wants them to do.

The final step is the most sinister: replace their own original desires with the values of the LC. Orthodox values are only the bait.

It is a simple matter of conditioning: You want a monkey to continue to press a lever. Use a little operant conditioning and give the monkey a banana every time he pushes a lever. But you have a limited supply of bananas so instead of giving the monkey a banana you give him a coin when he pushes the lever. He then uses the coin to get a banana from a vending machine. After a while the monkey will continue to work for coins even after the vending machine no longer supplies him with bananas.

This is what happens in all addictive behavior: alcohol, drugs, sex, porn, wealth, luxury, prestige, etc. are all “coins” that we collect in order to give us the “banana” of pleasure. The Legion attempts to addict its members, the Church and the world to itself. The truly sad part is that the Legionary superiors know the “coin” is counterfeit but they themselves have become addicted to the game that they play. It is all about power.
