Sunday morning rubbish.

More “nothing to blog about” stuff.

I still owe that man who referred to my posts as a bunch of rubbish, a debt of gratitude.  He put everything in perspective for me.  I know how to label my posts now.

I’m sick today - I think it is just a terrible cold, lodged in my chest.  I went to 9AM Mass, and even though I was hacking and coughing and sneezing and blowing my nose, everyone around me insisted upon shaking my hand at the “hello” before mass started, and at the sign of peace.  I think they are nuts.

I noticed two men a few rows ahead of me, both the same age, with three small children.  I wondered if they were a gay couple who adopted children.  One guy was Hispanic, and the kids looked different from one another.  I laughed to myself because I realized that is what some people might think, since if two men live together in the same house, most people assume they are gay.

During the homily I was halucinating on the marble communion rail, and thought I could do a painting like what I saw.  I could see in the pattern of the marble huge crowds swarming towards the gate of heaaven.  You had to be there I guess.  I realized I just may have a fever.

After communion I went to sit in Our Lady’s chapel to avoid the “Please stand if you are going to do something important this week”  - you know, so we can raise our hands and pray over everyone.  As I sat trying to make a thanksgiving, I heard the gentle strains of “Lord of the Dance” in the background.  I hate that song - I hate the term dance when used in reference to the spiritual life.  I hate liturgical dance too.

I’m going back to bed now.

Don’t forget, next time you are having a polite conversation with someone, start acting like commenters on blogs, and shout at them if you disagree with what they just said, or call them an idiot or something.  Socially, it should work like a charm.
