After Terri.

Reports are that all over the United States unquestionably conscious cognitive disabled patients are being left to die by dehydration, in the same manner as Terri Schiavo.

“Another young person has been dehydrated to death in the same hospice in Florida where Terri Schindler Schiavo met her court-ordered end. Bradley Whaley, 26, was severely brain damaged by an overdose of drugs and was minimally conscious, according to media reports. He died July 2 after the Hospice of Florida Suncoast removed his food and hydration tube.

Wesley J. Smith, a lawyer and critic of secular bioethics, wrote of the case that it illustrated the new medical ethics paradigm, based on “quality of life” criteria, in which patients who cannot speak or feed themselves are now at risk of being killed by dehydration.

“For more than ten years I have been telling anyone who will listen that unquestionably conscious cognitively disabled patients are being denied sustenance in every state in this country–so long as no family member objects,” Smith writes.” - Source

The Markers who live in Steubenville (http://www.internationaltaskforce.org/) have been fighting this battle for years.
    They are relentless.

I have felt that the generation that helped to pass and acquire easy legal abortions would be the same generation that would die by euthinasia.(fair is fair, what goes around comes around, the ying - yang thing)
I think that it will be a like a wave of death that hits us. I wonder if it will peak at 4,500 per day too.
It would simply come as a natural conclusion to their offspring.
    inconvenience -gone, incoherient - gone,
    expensive-gone,
    unwanted -gone.
not the right time in my life now ,I gotta get my degree - gone.
I have so many bad memories of you from when I was a kid - gone.
I sure could use your money ,and your stuff - gone.

Like a priest told me once in confession when I was filled with fear about being pregnant ,and fearing another disabled child , he said, “well let’s be practical!. I was outraged. (turns out I was being practical , she is an awesome kid, that is a very logical, and practical,a down to earth kid.)
These are issues of practicality . We are earning hell and not practically earning it either.
It will get worse. Nursing homes will become a thing of the past ,like homes for retarded folks now. In case you didn’t know many learning disabled people are not around today due to those most efficient sonagrams, and blood work tests. Saving us oodles of cash ,and labor - done.

I wonder if I have any more of those soylant green crackers in the pantry ? With salsa it would make a nice festive platter.

Oh speaking of soylent green , I have to get about 8 people in my family vaccinated for various diseases ,but many vaccines have fetal cells in them. I don’t know what to do. We need shots if we wanna get thru the school doors, and we want to be protected but at what cost? Hum, hell or a fatal disease? Some choice.
    Vaccines is people !!!!!

I am honestly shocked that the hospice hasn’t gone out of business and that families are still entrusting their most vulnerable members to its staff.

    Oh, wait . . . Now I get it. =(

It’s loathsome. But that is the Culture of Death: animated corpses wandering among tombs, looking for victims to suck out their life. We praise You, Lord, God of the Living! Give us courage to stand with You against death and to live with You forever!

  7. Belinda Says:

I love Mr. Ronnie’s thought process!!

  8. Brad's Mom Says:

Loathsome?? You know NOTHING of our amazing son, Bradley’s, situation… how he got into that condition, how long he was like that… NOTHING; yet, you feel you have the right to criticize and pass judgement without even so much as having those facts?? Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is the only person with the entitlement to pass judgement… or have all of you forgotten that? “Judge not, lest ye be judged…”

  9. Brad's Mom Says:

And, by the way, folks– you need to do your homework, before you criticize; you don’t starve to death in 4.5 days, which is the length of time that Bradley was without his feeding tube. He spent his last 28 hours of life with a 103+ fever, was no longer producing urine (what little was being produced was like rusty water)… his body was shutting down. Modern medicine is an amazing thing, if the QUALITY of life is improved, in addition to the QUANTITY. It was time for Brad to return to his Father… irregardless of where he was… be it his regular nursing home, or a Hospice facility. Those Hospice people are wonderful, amazing, dedicated individuals who devote their lives to the patients and families they treat. God bless them all!
