“THE” Pope in Sydney.

I don’t believe in coincidence.
I’ve been waiting for the images to emerge and Fr. Zuhlsdorf has posted some gems. I was especially interested in the Holy Father’s arrival by ship in Sydney. Between these current images, and those of him arriving in Cologne a few years ago, I cannot help but see the actualization of the vision of St. John Bosco. I’m convinced Benedict XVI is THE Pope from the vision who captained the ship almost immediately upon his predecessor’s death. Viva il papa!
(I know! - I write about this all of the time - maybe more than the gay stuff - but I find our Holy Father to be very encouraging and consoling in these dark days. What if the dock was filled with Salesians as the Pope’s boat docked?)

Phenomenal pics on Father Z’s blog! I have to visit EWTN to see if this spectacular is being televised.
I wish he would make a second trip to the U.S.

Should read “…spectacular entrance into Sydney is being televised.”
I’m getting old.

Hmmm… maybe the docks weren’t full of Salesians but there were some present! Check this out:

I just finished Alessandra Borghese’s: In the Footsteps of Joseph Ratzinger…….we are blessed beyond belief!
I’m on the boat, behind the Holy Father!

For his sake, I hope he’s not.

I’ve thought of this as well. God Bless our Holy Father!

I should mention - the final pope in the prophecy - leads the ship into port, anchored between the Eucharist and Our Lady - his predecessors die - but he is not killed.

Young people know their limitations and contradictions, but when they come to listen during their holidays to an old man of 81 years that probably has not a special charisma, but they are persuaded by his insight, rigor and clarity. And young people want answers. So they are delighted that someone intends to improve them, someone who makes them want to be better people.
