Thoughts.

I was offline all day yesterday.

I had 134 spam comments I had to delete last night.  Can you imagine?

I had about 75 emails to go through as well.

I’m not keeping up - I haven’t responded to the emails.  My apologies.

What I’m doing these days.

I’m taking care of my friend’s garden and cats while he is in Washington caring for his mother Marian.  Incidentally, she had a relapse, and was quite close to death again.  When she stabilized, she was told of the priests who celebrated Mass for her, and about the rest of you who prayed for her.  They said her face radiated joy and she wanted to thank everyone for their prayers.  Her son told me; “It was like a miracle!”

I’m also taking care of my own yard and cats.  So I have been really busy.  I can’t believe the blog is very important.  It is simply words blowing in the wind.  Everything has been said before - by someone, in a different time perhaps, but it has all been said before.

And we are all dying.

It may all have been said before, but like a wise priest once said, “Love seeks to repeat itself.”

Simple, profound, elegant Terry. As one come closer to God the simpler one becomes.

From the Rule of St. Romuald “Destroy yourself completely”

Your collective prayers helped my disabled teen with her behavior. She’s even read a book assignment without an argument. That was amazing. She is speaking better to us too. Thank you all.

Now about repetition, I am CONSTANTLY repeating myself to my children. My job is an endless nightmare of repetition. It is only by the grace of God that am I not curled up in a fetal position in my closet crying.

My life, my actions ,and my words are continually being repeated ,and in a friggin’ loop too.
Every one does, and says the same things over ,and over, with the same thoughts ,and ideas recycling .Why then do you feel as if YOU should be excluded from our plight?
Do you think that God will tell you something that he has never told anyone else before? Or show you something that he hasn’t shown any of his other children before ?
Poor God , some children are never satisfied.

This is like an artistic quandary, do we stop sculpting, painting , or writing , because it has been done before? No. We do what we are called to do. We put our vision ,and our slant with our ideas ,and make them our own , which in turn enriches the people around us.

My Mass is repeated, ,and the Rosary is repeated, nothing new there, but you participate in it anyway ,and yet it is still enriching ,and powerful.

My husband is more than a pay check to me. I am more than a sex object to him. Your blogger buddies are more than words we are real people ,and with real people you have to repeat yourself even if your board to tears.

Just because you know something you can’t assume that we do.

I can’t count how many conversations with kids that I have had where I have to fake that I am interested in their long and winding stories.God does the same for me.

Because of your less than charming funk that you are in ,I will suggest the same thing for you that I suggest for my own children.

Get off of your um bottom, and
go to your local soup kitchen, and repetitively plop food on a tray, or go to Catholic charities and repetatively fold clothing in the poor box. Call around your local business’s ,and find out if you can pick up the food at the end of the day to feed people at Catholic charites.Or how about visiting our retired religious in your local diocesan nursing home.I am sure that they would enjoy the mental ping pong with you.
When you are turned inward ,and filled with what sounds like despair it’s time to step out and serve ,and not just with your mind.

I am getting a migraine. I guess it is going to be a preselected penance day for me.

God bless you all.Terry I enjoy your company, and the company of your wonderful friends. Thank you for letting me play in your yard.
