Rejecting Humanae Vitae - still.
The prophetic encyclical of the Servant of God, Pope Paul VI is still rejected today - perhaps more vehemently than it was the day of its publication 40 years ago. Today we see the devastating results of its rejection throughout the world. Loss of faith seems to be the most disastrous legacy of all.

And indeed, like all great beneficent realities, it demands serious engagement and much effort, individual, family and social effort. Belinda, simplicity, as you will learn in your path of Faith, is a greatly desired characteristic.
Far from ignorant you are undoubtedly filled with an infused wisdom only the Holy Ghost can impart, as well as a grace which comes only from motherhood, a grace shared with the greatest Mother of all the Blessed Virgin, the simplest of all creatures and the wisest of all saints, Wisdom Herself.
Simplicity of character and personality is a wonderful thing, free of duplicity and guile and self deception. Keep it up, good work, it is joy to read your posts.

Human virtue without divine grace degenerates into its opposing vice. In this case Chastity without the grace of the institution decsends into condubinage, adultery and fornication. The contracepting marraige bed becomes a bed of rutting where the married couple only do so for mutual pleasure and affection but he grace of the life bestowing act is extunguished.
Contraception, by removing he life giving potential from the conjugal act makes the act less noble than the rut of horses or cattle, anyone who has lived on a farm knows what I am talking about.
Men who desire unimpeded access to the marital privilege without responsibility lose virtue by losing he fortitude that comes from continence and as such become like adolescent boys incapable of true manly activity. Anyone who has lived more than 40 years can see the progressive effeminacy of American males as the virtue of self control has been replaced with the vice of hedonistic self indulgence - Bling earrings and chains, pretty smelling colognes, body waxing, pierced ears and “other things” call to mind the foppishness and powdered wigs of the late Baroque. And I am only talking about the “straight guys”.
But I have gone to long in this combox, I should properly address this issue at my own blog, which I have neglected for some time.

Leo ,You have made my day, because of your kindness towards me. All I get around here is grief from any one of my children ,and it’s in a tag team fashion. I am sending you a virtual Christian hug.
My husband is a Saint he is kind ,and patient, and usually doesn’t give me any grief. He’s much nicer than I am.
Some day Terry might consider letting us tell our conversion stories they are pretty cool stories.
I suffer with OCD ,and anxiety ,and I check these sites way too much. My childhood was completely disfunctional,and filled with despair. We two children should have been removed from the home.
I had always admired and loved Catholic families ,and I wanted that sort of life for myself. You have better, happier lives. I wanted holiness ,and only the Catholic church can offer that.
You folks can still “think” me under the table. It’s that Catholic education that makes you the great thinkers that you all are. Thank your parents for their sacrifices in sending you to Catholic schools.
Some Catholics don’t use their education properly . Strange to me that often it is used AGAINST our church. Or for deconstructing our society. More often than not it seems to me that these people are generally Catholic. (Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kathleen Sebelius, our governor of Kansas , and many others) Why?
Ungrateful brats! Um, I mean that I pray for their souls . Really !
I have 2 in Catholic college, 2 in Catholic grade school, and 2 in Catholic high school , and in part because the love,and generosity of my Catholic brothers ,and sisters. I can’t do it all. I have one in public Kindergarten but only for this year ,and one kid going to L.A. for school which is gonna cost out the wazoo.
And the reason why we stay afloat …….. The Grace of God.

Hey Terry here is your bazillion dollar idea, start a web page as the almighty entitled “Ask God” ,but your gonna have to dumb it down , a lot, especially for the teen crowd, You would be swamped!! Think of all of the souls that could be saved , it could be like a “Drudge” and “Dear Abby” love child.
No blasphemy intended toward God .Only problem is that I don’t know where you would get Gods photo to post , but gosh I can’t think of everything for you.

My husband can’t afford the body waxings anymore nor the piercings,or tattoos.
That cracks me up!
Um, fellas if you seriously do this stuff, then my husband probably wouldn’t hire you. At least wait until you get the job first,then cover it before you come to work. You will be teased without mercy.
