“Are you insane?”

Call me crazy, but…
“The most insane thing in the whole world is not to want to be a saint. Sanity is to take every means to achieve sanctity and be pleasing to God. When we think of the infinite reward God will give us for that - it is sheer insanity to do the opposite!” - St. Philip Neri
After sharing the above quote with a friend, he responded in an email with this…
“I was just explaining to my niece on saturday how the gay world is really insane, if you go by the ”textbook definition” of the word. I said to her, “What’s the definition of insanity?” She didn’t know, so I told her that insanity is living outside of reality, while insisting that which is unreal is real and REPEATEDLY making choices that support that “un-reality. I’m tired of being insane!”"

Our society is so outta touch with reality that it’s not even amusing anymore. We are sick to the core. Not only insane ,but schizophrenic too.
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
Now I must tell my children to clean their rooms, or face some tough eviction notices.
Just kidding !!

funny you bring this subject up because our family was talking about “insanity” yesterday and an article that had been forwarded to me on the term “global citizenship”. The author’s position was no such thing as “global citizen” became of the definition of “citizenship” …
” … A native or naturalized member of a state or nation who owes allegiance to its government and is entitled to its protection.”
So his premise was that a Global Government would be required for Global Citizenship …
Which had us discussing the redefining of words and terms these days …
Many moons ago a friend tried to persuade me to her position that it was perfectly find and healthy to allow a person to go around life thinking he was an apple if it made him feel good. She believed it would do him more harm to try to tell him he was not an apple but a human being. It was an odd conversation … She couldn’t see the insanity in this delusion.
It would be an interesting survey to just ask people why they don’t want to be saints.

That painting of St. Phillip being attacked by the cherub always makes me giggle.
