This is important to consider.

I’m publishing a comment from Lee Ann on my post, Feeding the Beast which dealt with the number of women in the UK who have had multiple abortions.  Lee Ann is responding to another commenter.

Comment:

Newly pregnant by two months - eighteen - no means of support save my parents. Pregnant now for 16 weeks. My parents tell me I WILL go to a clinic and this “problem” will be taken care of.

Choice? What the hell are you talking about? I had no choice!

I am not a victim - I am victorious in Christ who has heard my cries, my sadness and my sorrow over the death of my baby, even though I had no idea what was going on in the medical procedure.

I have not lived one day without sadness since that day - that day that I was forced. Yes, I walked into the “clinic”, yes, I did what the doctor told me to do. I did what was demanded of me by my parents - and I won’t even go into the ways that they encouraged and sexualized me at an early age - there is just not enough space here.

I stopped thinking and feeling that day. I have lived in my own hell for years - hell of drug and alcohol abuse, hell of feeling worthless, hell of being unacceptable to myself.

What CHOICE?

No, I had no choice.

I HATE that I had an abortion - I hate to know that I was part and party to the death of my own child, but I will never understand why there are people who think that I, or any other woman who aborts felt they had a choice.

My son would have been 38 this fall - his name is Matthew Dean and you can read more on my blog about what it is like to be a post abortive woman.

For any of the readers who are post abortive, man or woman, please contact Rachel’s Vineyard, a post abortive healing ministry. RV will help you begin to heal from your abortion if you have not already done so.

Thank you for permitting me to speak out.

To God be the Glory - Lee Ann of Matthew’s Mom

Thanks Lee Ann.

Do we freely choose all the time?

If we know ourselves very well, we can understand if we have freely chosen to do this or that, or chose to be this or that.  But I don’t think we can ever say with any certainty, “she chose to do that”, or “he chose to be that.”  Not unless we have evidence, or the person tells us, “Yes, I chose to do this”, or “yes, I chose to be this.”

Without full consent of the will…

Perhaps a choice, albeit unconscious, or constrained, or coerced, could be said to have been made in certain situations or lifestyles, albeit under duress.  In such a case I believe a moral theologian would say one’s freedom is limited, hence one’s culpability may be mitigated - although the consequences can be the same.  (Forced abortion = death of infant; freely chosen abortion = death of infant.)

Whatever the case, it is important that we pray much for one another, since only God sees the conscience.    In such circumstances we do well to consider St. Paul’s words,  “I do not even pass judgment on myself.  The Lord is the one to judge me, so stop passing judgment before his return.  He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and manifest the intentions of hearts.” - 1 Corinthians 4:3-5

Of course, St.  Paul’s admonition does not mean we are not allowed to judge between acts that are immoral and sinful, and those that are moral and good.

So sad.

An artist in the UK hanged herself after aborting the twins she had been carrying.  As is often the case, her boyfriend was not pleased after she told him she was pregnant.  Her suicide note read:

“I told everyone I didn’t want to do it, even at the hospital. I was frightened, now it is too late. I died when my babies died. I want to be with my babies: they need me, no-one else does.  I should never have had an abortion. I see now I would have been a good mum.” - Telegraph.Co.UK

The woman was only going ahead with the abortion because her boyfriend Ben did not want the twins.

So Sad, So Sad,
Sometimes She Feels So Sad.
Alone In Her Apartment She’d Dwell…”
- McCartney

Pray for the suicides.  Pray and sacrifice for those thinking about it.

Is PETA Pro-Life?

They should be.

California Catholic Daily  has a piece on Vasu Murti’s book, The Liberal Case Against Abortion.  Murti argues that the longstanding liberal agenda promoting abortion needs to change.

“By creatively and passionately using the universal question of the rights of animals, Murti analyzes the rights of the unborn,” writes Carol Crossed, president of Democrats for Life of America, in the foreword of the book. “The power of his persuasion is not based on one or more bodies of religious thought, but on sentient beings’ natural tendency to protect one another.” - California Daily

Gosh - finally someone from the  secular liberal side recognizes the disparity between securing protective rights for animals, while advocating the wholesale slaughter of human foetuses through abortion on demand.

Will liberals listen?  Probably not the elite - although the book may offer new strategies for pro-lifers to base their arguments from a liberal’s point of view.  This is necessary since there’s a whole lot of people out there who could care less about the religious beliefs they feel motivate the pro-life movement in the first place.  (”You can’t legislate morality.” - for instance.)  They buy into the liberal agenda and have no need for religion, therefore they need to be convinced on their terms.

The Missing…

Posted by Terry Nelson on Dec 14th, 2007

Who were they?

I’m sure most web surfers ran across the story on how Heisman Trophy winner, Tim Tebow might have been just another abortion statistic if his mom had listened to doctors and aborted her son because of an amoebic infection during pregnancy.  Pam Tebow said no and her husband agreed.  Thus, the Tebows gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

Fr. Thomas Euteneuer has a provocative reflection on who the missing in our country might be - since the United States legalized abortion some forty years ago.  It is estimated 1/3 of all Americans conceived since 1973 have been lost to abortion.

The following numbers are based on the actual government estimates of the professions represented in America. So then, who have we lost to abortion?

  •
    • 2 US Presidents

    • 7 Supreme Court Justices

    • 102 US Senators and 589 Congressmen

    • 8,123 Federal, district and local court judges

    • 31 Nobel Prize laureates

    • 328 Olympic medalists including 123 Gold medalists

    • 6,092 professional athletes

    • 134,841 physicians and surgeons

    • 392,500 registered nurses

    • 70,669 priests, ministers, rabbis and imams including

    • 6,852 priests and 11,010 nuns (vocations “shortage”?)

    • 1,102,443 teachers (K-12)

    • 553,821 truck drivers

    • 224,518 maids and housekeepers

    • 336,939 janitors

    • 134,028 farmers and ranchers

    • 109,984 police officers and sheriff’s deputies

    • 39,477 firefighters

    • 17,221 barbers, and

    • 24,450,000…women (the gender of roughly half of all children aborted). - Spirit and Life

I believe it was Padre Pio who once told a penitent that the son she had aborted would have been pope.

(Thanks to John Mallon for the tip.)

Weapon of Mass Destruction: Abortion

Posted by Terry Nelson on Sep 8th, 2007

I never thought of it in those terms.

I’m certain few of us have ever considered that abortion and euthanasia could be considered a WMD.  LifeSite News has a report on the work done by an Israeli doctor, Dr. Tessa Chelouche, shedding new light on the Nazi program of abortion, sterilization, and euthanasia to rid society of inferior peoples.

“Dr. Tessa Chelouche writes that “Abortion was used as a weapon of mass destruction in Eastern Europe,” where “it has been estimated that tens of thousands of Polish and Russian women were compelled to abort not because of health reasons, but because of Nazi dogma.”

She goes on to quote Hitler’s 1942 policy statement on the application of abortion to Slavic people, which is chillingly similar to modern Planned Parenthood propaganda:

“In view of the large families of the Slav native population, it could only suit us if girls and women there had as many abortions as possible. We are not interested in seeing the non-German population multiply…We must use every means to install in the population the idea that it is harmful to have several children, the expenses that they cause and the dangerous effect on woman’s health… It will be necessary to open special institutions for abortions and doctors must be able to help out there in case there is any question of this being a breach of their professional ethics.” - LifeSite News

Who knew this type of WMD was in our own backyard - in our hospitals and clinics?

“Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, expressed a similar objective about eliminating US colored people in a letter she wrote only months after Hitler’s invasion of Poland:

“We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.

Today, Planned Parenthood and other international promoters of abortion, sterilization, and contraception, often claim that the availability of such services is a “health issue” and is necessary to fight poverty, echoing Hitler’s slogans.” - LifeSite News

Our Lady of Fatima told the children that “war is a punishment for sin”.  I wonder if we were looking in the wrong country for Weapons of Mass Destruction?

1/4 of blacks lost to abortion.

Posted by Terry Nelson on Aug 27th, 2007

Duh!  Joined with contraception, that was part of the plan of Margaret Sanger and Planned Parenthood.  It’s called ‘eugenics’.  This news comes as a surprise?

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama, August 24, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Dr. Alveda King, the niece of legendary human rights campaigner, Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., told a meeting of Priests for Life, that the killing of a quarter of the black population of the US has not been from the lynch mobs of her childhood days, but from abortionists, “who plant their killing centres in minority neighbourhoods and prey upon women who think they have no hope.

“The great irony,” she said, “is that abortion has done what the Klan only dreamed of.” - LifeSiteNews

And yet today, Margaret Sanger is considered an American hero.  Go figure.

The decline and fall…

Irreplaceable you.

A report from the United Nations confirms what conservative pro-life pundits have been saying for years, Europe is below fertility replacement levels.  Now it seems, because it hits the UN in the pocketbook, the organization is taking notice.  This from Catholic World News:

The combined donations from these countries– including the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, United Kingdom, Japan, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Canada, and Switzerland– make up 85.6% of UNFPA’s total $389 million revenue from contributions, reports Samantha Singson in C-Fam’s Friday fax.

With the exception of Japan, each of the top UNFPA donor countries has contraceptive prevalence rates well above 70%. The average fertility rate for the top ten donor countries is 1.59. None of the top UNFPA donor countries comes close to achieving a replacement-level fertility rate. - Catholic World News

I find it interesting that the countries listed are the same countries where GLBT issues are given preferential treatment, while providing egual rights, including the campaign for legalization of same sex marriage, as well as legal protection from anyone opposed to the moral implications of the GLBT lifestyle.

The contraceptive mentality and homosexuality.

The two seem to be related.  Ever since the invention of the pill, which provided a no mess, no fuss dimension to the contraceptive  mentality, the practice of contraception ceased to be considered shameful or immoral in contemporary culture.  It seemed everyone was doing it - which was a major factor leading to what is commonly referred to as the Sexual Revolution of the 1960’s.

The relationship to the acceptance of homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle makes so much sense to contracepting heterosexuals.  Why?  Because both engage in non-reproductive sex.  Sex is sex.  Making love is sex.  If two people love one another, they have sex - without consequence.  Sex between a contracepting couple is no different than sex between two people of the same sex - both are non-reproductive acts for the sheer pleasure involved.  (Despite the fact the couples insist they are “making love”.)

Neutralizing sexual relations.

Today, with the morning after pill, the birth control pill is not always a necessity.  It is well known that many young people do not consider fellatio sex - the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal brought that notion to our attention.   Acts of sodomy are performed by heterosexuals as well as homosexuals, to escape the consequences of natural intercourse, this fact came to light in some of the sports sex scandals over the years.  (However, it is my understanding that married, non-contracepting couples may engage in similar acts, with the exception of anal sex, during foreplay, so long as the end result is natural intercourse open to life.)

My point is this, if heterosexuals are having sex in the same manner as homosexuals, and both are non-reproductive, hedonistic indulgence, it would be hypocritical for a society not to recognize same sex partners as equal to themselves.

One sin protects the other - or links to another - in the diabolic chain forged by Planned Parenthood and the Human Rights Campaign agenda.  Even at the expense of annihilation.

At Fatima, Our Lady warned that if her requests were not heeded, “many nations will be annihilated”.   Here we thought she was speaking  about nuclear extinction.  Perhaps not.

Cannes: “And the Golden Palm goes to…”

Posted by Terry Nelson on May 27th, 2007

Photo: A real aborted child, - not a still from the film.

Strange as it may sound, the Palme d’Or went to a Romanian film graphically illustrating the horrors of a mid-term abortion in that Communist block country, shortly before the fall of Communism.  Cannes audiences were shocked at the realism of viewing the remains of an aborted child, while the film maker, Cristian Mungin explained that he put the aborted foetus on screen to serve as a reminder to audiences. “It makes a point — people should be aware of the consequences of their decisions,” he said.  The film is entitled, “4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days” which was the age of the child when aborted.

Wow!  The entertainment elite sat through something so gruesome, and awarded the film with Cannes’ highest honor.  Could it be that the world will finally come to its senses and realize abortion for the crime of murder that it is?  All because of a film maker who had the courage to show what an aborted child looks like?

We can only hope.  Go here for the entire story - things like this just don’t “happen” in the movie industry.

As I’ve always said, people have to see what an abortion actually is, in order to understand and believe that it is a human being destroyed, not simply tissue.  (Do you suppose the film will be banned in the United States?)

My life is precious - but not yours.

Organ harvesting in China continues.

More sweet news from China again today - some sources are calling their harvest of human organs for the purpose of transplant to other humans a ‘holocaust‘.

“The situation in China is that donors are waiting in line for a recipient, said Dr. Trey, adding that there must be a pool of living donors. He mentioned an ad found in April 2006, published in a Chinese newspaper, advertising: “Twenty organ transplants free of charge” at the Hunan Provincial People’s Hospital, for which people could register by calling the hospital’s hotline.

Organ transplants are a lucrative business in China, with prices ranging between $USD 30,000 and $USD 180,000 for an organ. According to the data collected by the organization, these prices were available on the China International Transplantation Network Assistance Center website, but have since been removed.”- Holocaust

I have already heard, that when the Chinese execute prisoners, often while they are still alive, they extract their organs for sale in transplant operations.  Now it seems, they are using political prisoners for this purpose - those who are not sentenced to die.  I wonder who the market caters to?

Embryonic stem cell research is a similar phenomenon - although celebrities like Michael J. Fox refuse to acknowledge an embryo is a human being.  Or maybe he and others with money just don’t care.

Human life is cheap.  It’s a strange mentality that believes one’s own life is precious but the other persons life, disquised as an embryo or criminal in a Chinese prison, doesn’t matter.
