People have been asking me…
I suppose because I write a couple blogs some friends are really interested in what I think of the election results. Some friends have called me, others emailed, with the same question. I neither answered the phone or responded to the emails. It no longer matters what I think.
That said…
Yesterday I woke up very depressed over the results. Yes I was pleased the United States made history by electing our first black president - And I could only imagine the genuine pride of African-Americans - I was especially moved by images of a tearful Jessse Jackson. President-elect Obama is a very gifted man in many ways.
Obama’s victory is for white people too.
But it isn’t just black people who have won a stunning victory, it is also for all of those white people who have struggled for change in the 20th century. Especially from the 1960’s on, those who worked so tirelessly for civil rights. Yet included amongst these - going all the way back to Margaret Sanger - have to be all the Marxist-Leninist-Maoist-influenced revolutionary groups that emerged during and after the 1960’s: Black Panthers, the Weather Underground, radical feminists, radical femes and ACT-UP, Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam, and every other revolutionary group that fought and struggled so long and hard to overturn Judeo-Christian values in the U.S.. These people have also won.
Sweet talkin’ guy.
Don’t get me wrong - I like Obama. But I could not vote for him because - and this is a huge number one - because he is so pro-death that he will ensure abortion as a civil right - he will do everything in his power to pass FOCA and nominate judges to the Supreme Court who favor abortion and euthanasia and same-sex marriage, and all the other evils associated with the culture of death.
Sounds off the wall to say that, huh?
It isn’t - you will see.
I’ve voted for pro-life politicians I did not like - for years.
Yes, I voted for McCain. I like him enough; I certainly admire him and respect him for his heroism - but I never thought he could lead. I love Sarah Palin - but I never thought she could lead either. McCain wasn’t perfect on pro-life - but he was the better of two evils. If he had won the election - I wouldn’t have celebrated his victory as much as I would have rejoiced that the life of the unborn or born-alive had a better chance of survival with him as president.
Why is the life of the unborn and born-alive the only issue?
Because if we enact a binding federal law that declares a woman has a civil right to kill her own child, we will have lost our Nation’s soul - we will have “sold our birthright for a meal” [Hebrews 12:16] - and in the end, President-elect Obama will be governing a third world ghetto. That will not be a great victory for black people.
[What I mean by a "third world ghetto" is that due to the increase of vice and wickedness, the U.S. will be liable to further decay and collapse from within.]
